Every Studio Drop garment starts with a 100% organic cotton base.
Organic cotton is selected for its natural softness, breathability and everyday comfort. It gives each piece a clean foundation before artwork, embroidery, print or applied decoration is added.
For us, the base is where the product begins. It affects how the garment feels, how it drapes, how it holds shape and how well it carries the final design.
DEVELOPED THROUGH RESEARCH & FIT TESTING
A better garment does not happen by accident.
Before a piece reaches a drop, we review the base, fit, weight, hand feel, drape and how the garment responds to decoration. This research and development process helps us choose garments that feel substantial, wearable and built for repeated use.
The result is clothing that feels considered before the design is even applied.

Studio Drop garments are chosen for a premium feel that works in real life.
A heavier, better-structured base helps the garment sit properly on the body, hold its shape and feel more substantial in hand. It creates the balance we look for: soft enough for everyday wear, structured enough to feel premium.
The aim is not excess weight for the sake of it. The aim is comfort, durability and presence.
GOTS-CERTIFIED BASE GARMENTS
Studio Drop base garments are sourced through GOTS-certified supply where stated.
GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard. It is a recognised textile standard for organic fibres, covering environmental criteria, social criteria, traceability and independent certification across textile processing.
For Studio Drop, this gives the base garment a verified material foundation before our own creative and production process begins.
TRACEABILITY & DOCUMENTATION
Traceability helps make material claims accountable.
Where applicable, our certified base garments are supported by relevant certification and transaction documentation. These documents help verify that the base garment supply relates to certified organic cotton goods.
We do not display every supply document publicly, but supporting documentation can be made available on request where appropriate.

We believe the quality of a garment should be felt before it is explained.
The softness, weight, structure and drape of the base are what give Studio Drop pieces their foundation. Our role is to build on that foundation through considered artwork, placement and decoration — without overstating what the product is.
Every Studio Drop garment begins with a 100% organic cotton base. Where stated, that base is sourced through GOTS-certified supply. The finished piece is then completed through our own design and production process.
Good materials do not need exaggerated claims. They need to be chosen well, used properly and allowed to speak through the garment.
